HEART loves all animals but we are a rescue organization. Our phone line is jammed with calls to help hundreds of neglected, abused, orphaned or injured homeless animals each year. We do not have the resources (volunteer foster homes or finances) to take personal pets too.
For help in re-homing a personal cat or dog we suggest POST-A-POOCH-PLUS, a HEART supported venue for finding safe and loving new homes for personal pets. For more information go to www.postapoochplus. |

WE CANNOT TAKE EVERY ANIMAL INTO HEART
Our limited resources limit the number of animals we can care for. How do we decide who gets saved? We look at those that need us most! We never think who would get adopted fastest, instead, we always consider who needs us more. We receive hundreds of requests for help each year, many involving animals in dire need of our help. We have to prioritize care so that the neediest animals receive our attention first. |

Please DO NOT e-mail us about a stray or emergency situation. Please call 821-1915 and leave a message on Line 1. Include your name, phone number, brief description of the situation, and location of animal.
We receive many, many calls. Our volunteers have to return calls after work. Please be patient!! It can take us a few days to get back to everyone.
