COMPANION CATS FOR SENIORS
Many senior citizens would benefit from the company of a pet but avoid animal companionship because of the thought "what would happen to my pet if something happens to me" or the cost of pet ownership.
Our Companion Cats for Seniors program is designed to give older cats the opportunity to be placed in a loving home. It matches older cats (6+ years) with qualified senior citizens. Older cats don't ask for much -– just a warm place to sleep, good meals, and plenty of love!! Both senior and cat benefit from a loving companion.
There is no adoption fee!!
HEART pays for the cat’s annual vet visits, vaccines, and other medical needs.
For seniors who are unable to get out and about, HEART can help transport the cat to the vet.
Should the senior become unable to care for their pet it is returned to HEART. |
